Andrew Conlan-Trant appointed President of DBS College

The Board of Dublin Business School (DBS) is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Conlan-Trant as President of the College with immediate effect. Andrew previously held the role of Executive Dean and Head of the Institution in the College.

Andrew joined DBS in November 2013 and prior to that had worked with the learning and employment subsidiaries of the Rehab Group in the UK, specifically TBG Learning, Rehab JobFit and Momentum Scotland.   

Andrew is a Chair of Escombe Housing Association and a Board member of Aspect International Language Schools Limited. He is a former Board member of the Irish Quality Control Association, Guna Nua, a theatre production company, National Learning Network and the Wexford Arts Centre, and is a former Chair of the Irish Association of Young People in Care and former Chair of Acorn Training (UK).

On accepting his appointment Andrew said “I am very pleased to lead DBS through the next phase of its development and growth, building on the changes necessary to counter the impact of COVID restrictions. The future of higher education has been changed and will continue to change as people choose to learn in more flexible ways.

I really look forward to working with colleagues across the College, the students, the Academic Board, the wider education sector in Ireland and our extensive number of partners and stakeholders from around the world. DBS is at an exciting stage of its development and I look forward to leading it through its next phase.”

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree and a Higher Diploma in Education from UCG.   He also holds a Master of Science (Management) from Queen’s University Belfast.
