Dublin Business School MBA students recently participated in the MBA Association of Ireland’s National Strategy Competition. This prestigious competition is open to all MBA programmes across Ireland, with entrants from universities and business schools nationwide participating.
Although our students did not win, it didn’t diminish the experience of participating in a strategy competition. Participants reported positively on the MBAAI event coming away excited, energised and proud of their collaborative team effort. This competition is designed to challenge students and the experience of partaking serves as a valuable learning opportunity – putting acquired theoretical skills to practical use.
Michael Bulman, President of the MBA Association of Ireland, said “This annual competition is a pressure cooker environment to test the mettle of any business student or practitioner and put the learnings from the MBA programme into practice. The 2021 virtual event was again a close-run affair, with a higher level of participation than previous years. The event showcases the incisive analysis, strategic thinking and ability to operate collectively, which are the hallmarks of the MBA graduate.
DBS entrants displayed intelligence, creativity, resilience and resourcefulness. We look forward to the next annual event and the next round in 2022. Congratulations to all participants and to the winners TU Dublin on their impressive win. See you next year!
